DTCskills.com ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information You Provide

  • Account information -Email address, name, and password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
  • Purchase information -When you buy a Skill, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We receive your name, email, and transaction details from Stripe.
  • Newsletter signup -Your email address when you subscribe to The Operator's Brief.
  • Inquiry forms -Name, email, company name, revenue range, and message when you submit a managed services inquiry.
  • Creator waitlist -Name, email, and skill idea when you join the creator waitlist.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data -Pages visited, time on site, and interactions. Collected via Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites.
  • Device information -Browser type, operating system, and screen size (anonymized, via Vercel Analytics).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To process purchases and deliver digital products
  • To send newsletter emails you opted into (The Operator's Brief)
  • To respond to managed services inquiries
  • To improve the Site based on anonymized usage patterns
  • To prevent fraud and abuse

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Supabase -Database and authentication. Stores your account information and purchase records. Data hosted in the US.
  • Stripe -Payment processing. Handles credit card transactions. We never see or store your full card number. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel -Hosting and analytics. Vercel Analytics collects anonymized usage data without cookies or personal tracking.
  • Google -OAuth sign-in only. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, or other Google services.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for the Site to function:

  • Authentication cookies -To keep you signed in. These are essential for the Site to work and cannot be disabled.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and purchase history for as long as your account is active. Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Managed services inquiry data is retained for 2 years.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data we hold
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Delete your account and personal data
  • Unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time
  • Export your data in a portable format

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Supabase, and PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
